
The highest effect on system workload is generated by the quantity, resolution and frame rate of the video signals as well as the used compression method. Therefore, in terms of hardware setup, a special emphasis should be put on choosing a potent processor capable of handling the expected system workload. High performance PC Systems are recommended for a smooth system workflow. Sufficient memory capacity, a good graphics card and network interface card as well as 24×7 hard disks are essential parts of any hardware set-up designed for uninterrupted, permanent operation.

The SiVMS® Reencoding Server is required for commissioning and using the SiVMS® Web Client. The server prepares the video streams requested by the web client, transcodes them, and makes them available in the appropriate format to the web client.
